All behaviour, all learning and all change happens at the unconscious level. Hypnosis is a way of having communication with our unconscious mind. Hypnotherapy has been used for thousands of years as far back as ancient Egypt to help people with issues from low self-esteem to breaking bad habits.
Hypnotherapists use hypnosis, which is the technique of guiding someone into a trance-like state of calm and suggestibility. Hypnotherapy is a direct form of therapy where communication with the unconscious mind is at the heart of the therapy.
Upon you having your goals set, and plan to be put into action, you enter a state of hypnosis, your body will feel calm and relaxed, even as you enter a state of increased awareness, similar to the way you might feel when meditating. Your Practitioner will speak to you in a calm and gently assertive voice, and place the suggestions you agreed to in your therapy plan into your subconscious mind.
Once hypnotherapy is completed, we can expect to start seeing changes within the time frame permitted and given by the unconscious mind.
